Descriptive Notes for Three stages of Life
Babies in Womb –
1. Could they talk between each other?It is noted that the Old Testament Twins Jacob and Esau had a fight in their mother Rebekah’s womb. Genesis 25:22So if they were physically fighting maybe they also had some type of communication?
2. Could they sense some Spiritual contact?An interesting thing happened when Elizabeth the mother of John the Baptist was pregnant she saw Mary the mother of Jesus who was also pregnant. Luke 1:41 When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.Luke 1:44
As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy.So it quite likely our twins could have sensed God’s Love.
3. Does God care about babies in the womb?YesIsaiah 44:24
"This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:Psalm 139:13
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.Psalm 22:10
From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God.
4. God has a Plan for our lives even from our mother’s womb.Jeremiah 1:5
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;So Our Heavenly Father loves us and has a great plan for our lives even from our mother’s womb. But it is our choices that determine the out working of our lives.John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
5. Being Born into God’s FamilyIf we accept the message in God’s Word, the Bible, this message is planted in our lives and is then available to be touched by the Holy Spirit, from the Father, when we consciously accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord that we a born into the Heavenly Family.God's Word is not a static thing; it is alive and active in the world, changing lives. We have been reborn by the power of that living Word.Jesus says in John 3:3 "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”The process of becoming a Christ-follower is described here as being "born again" not physically born again, but spiritually reborn.
6. This is A Spiritual Life that lives forever.1 Peter 1:22-24 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.Corruptible means human corruption contrasted to God’s Holiness and Word (Luke 8:11).Seed, meaning “divine life,” was a colloquialism for God’s Word as “seminal” (similar to “logos” of John 1), from “Plilo” which is a philosophical term meaning it is the divine influence for us (Isa. 40: 6-8; Luke 8:11; 1 John 3:9).God plants this in us, but we are required to care for and cultivate it for its continual growth in us.
7. This change is ascribed to the Holy Spirit.It originates not with man but with God (John 1:12, 13; 1 John 2:29; 5:1, 4).
8. SimilaritiesCreation.The coming together of life from two lives.Physical birth; seed from Mother and a Father, resulting in being a part of their familySpiritual birth; seed of the Word and seed from the Heavenly Father via Holy Spirit.PotentialUnder developed parts are present some movement but not able to be fully developed.
Pass through a type of death before going into a totally different place.
As the babies craved their mother’s milk, so those spiritually new born crave the Milk from God, God’s Word.Both then going on to food they need to chew over.A time comes when we must grow beyond milk so we are living a life of holiness through His Word and Spirit.The young babies also need to develop their full potential physically.So after our new spiritual birth we need to develop our spiritual potential.This spiritual potential is not full developed until we move into the 3rd stage.
